one teacher's journey....

one teacher's journey....
Me in my classroom, 1994
I have been teaching a long time, and I am still learning how to do it. Every day. Mostly, I learn to teach from my students.

I am interested in the Emilia Reggio approach to early childhood education, though I am by no means an expert in it. I am curious about sensory integration issues in kids, and about teaching choice-based art. I am deeply committed to teaching creativity.

This blog is me processing ideas that are new to me. Reflecting on my practice. Asking questions. Trying new things out. Succeeding and failing. And sharing my journey as honestly as I know how.

I'll be learning out loud.
